| Summary: | Benzar is a planet located in the Benzite system, and home world of the Benzite civilization which is a significant member of the United Federation of Planets. |
| Description: | Benzar is the only habitable world in this system. It has two moons; Herti and Dwora and a huge space-born city. The city (called Merria) is a major port and repair facility in this sector and may soon be given Star Base status. Benzar is a planet located in the Benzite system, and is the home world of the Benzite civilization - a significant member of the United Federation of Planets. Benzar's atmosphere differs somewhat from class M norms, in that before the 2370's the Benzite's off-world required respiration devices. (See TNG: "Coming of Age" and DS9: "The Ship"). During the Dominion War, Benzar fell to the Dominion and Cardassian forces in 2374. However, the planet was later liberated by the Romulan Star Empire after it entered this war on the side of the Allies. Constable Odo expressed concerns that the Romulans would not give up control of Benzar even after the war ended, as their usual policy was to keep claimed territories. (See DS9: "The Reckoning.") Yes, it is. Used with permission of course.
1. Romulus is not purple as seen in Star Trek Nemesis.
2. Benzar must be alot different from other class M planets because the benzites cannot go off their world without a breathing apperatus.
So, I decided to use this odd class M planet texture for Benzar and used a regular class M planet texture for "my" Romulus addon.
