Description: | Asteroid 2009 DD45 was closest to Earth on March 2, 2009 at roughly 72,000 km away, twice the height of a geostationary communications satellite. 2009 DD45 is about 35 meters wide, perhaps a bit larger than the Tunguska asteroid. Epoch revised from initial JPL data to place asteroid at 72,000km above S. Pacific.
