A plain orbital period/secondary mass relationship provided by Rappaport & Joss (1984) would indeed point to helium dwarfs rather planetary objects, despite the extremely low mass.

You'd think the magnetic feilds produced by the neutron star would prevent gas giants...I guess I was wrong!

pretty amazing to see jovians existing that close to such super hot stars
