| Description: | This add-on features two descriptions of the comet in its SSC file. One represents the object in a more precisely-defined orbit via an XYZ file for use with the Deep Impact Mission, and the other is for more general use. The Deep Impact XYZ version can only be seen between July 1, 2005 and July 10, 2005. You may wish to modify the enclosed SSC file to remove the portion of the orbital data which you do NOT wish to see. If you don't, you'll end up with two representations of the comet at the same time. Please note that this add-on features the basic asteroid texture and model to represent the Comet Tempel 1. If you'd like a more realistic version of the comet, please have a look at Jestr's complete Deep Impact project, which includes a model of Comet Tempel 1, HERE. Please note that to install this add-on, you should simply copy the SSC file to your Celestia\extras directory, and the XYZ file to your Celestia\data folder. |
