Kuiper Belt Objects:
|
Summary: | Hydra and Nix. Newly discovered moons of Pluto. |
Description: | This add-on contributes two new moons to the Kuiper Belt object Pluto. To install the add-on, simply copy the SSC file to your Celestia\extras directory, and copy the JPG texture file to your Celestia\textures\medres directory. Please be aware that this add-on does refer to another model file, the Pandora.cmod. Older versions of Celestia may not have this model included, so you may wish to modify this SSC file to refer instead to the familiar asteroid 3DS file. |

Just thought I'd clarify, Hydra is the outermost satellite and Nix has the next-largest orbit.

This is cool.
Opening the file with Notepad should allow you to change the names to Nix and Hydra.

I love this. You rule for making it. Is there gonna be an update soon with the names Nix and Hydra? Or is that relatively easy to do on my own?

Thank you for this add-on. I tried adding this myself when I heard of the discovery of the moons, but I lacked orbital data.
