| Description: | This add-on provides a CMOD model of Mars using 516,242 triangles. The Mars model 1x was created from data based on that which was received from the Mars Global Surveyor, and the Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter. Data point spacing is at every 1/2 degree of latitude and longitude. Data sets were produced by David E. Smith at the Goddard Space Flight Center. Please visit HERE for more information. To install, simply copy all contents to your Celestia\extras directory. To view in Celestia, use the Solar System Browser (in the Navigation Menu) to look for Mars_1x. |
