This is my interpretation of the Rungworld described above, and is derived from Larry Niven's Ringworld for Celestia v1.3 by Marc Griffith. NOTE: You may wish to rename the 3DS files so that they use lower-case file extensions. Some systems will not display models correctly when using upper-case file extensions. To view in Celestia, use the ENTER-TYPE NAME-ENTER method to get to the star Rigel Kentaurus A. Then, simply back away from the star until you can see Rungworld around Rigel Kentaurus A. |

Nice but it would have been better to have a hi-res version for the people with good internet.

I used fairly lores textures in order to limit the size of this addon so that it was easy to download. A hires version would be at least 13MB instead of 0.4 MB.
However, I have created an alternate version which makes the rotation of the rungs a little more interesting (but no texture changes I'm afraid). It can be downloaded here:

Take note of the README instructions before installing.

The structure is good... the textures are very ugly. You must improve this addon.
