This page contains close-up virtual textures for the planet Earth.
VT close-ups are extensions to a earth-VT, which cover a comparatively small surface area. To successfully use them, you have to install a full surface VT from the Earth surface Maps section first. Check that it works, and then extract the close-up such that the level<0-9> folders are created in the same directory like those of the full surface VT - some close-ups may even overwrite parts of the "level5" folder.
Because the close-ups are based on other data-sources than the full surface VTs you may experience some differences in color and texturing for the close-up area - this is unavoidable, but can be minimized by using the same full surface VT as the close-up creator (unfortunately this information is typically unavailable).
